Trochus Snail

Trochus Sp.

The Trochus Snail is a great snail to have in the home aquarium staying smaller than turbo snails. They can be housed in groups in aquariums, but should be added slowly so as not to let them starve

It requires a tank of 10 litres or larger with plenty of rockwork to hide and eat off of. The Trochus snail is reef compatible and beneficial to a reef setup eating all types of algae bar macro algae. A natural scavenger they are self sufficient in the home aquarium and should have enough natural food growth to live. They will reproduce often in a stable home aquarium.

The Trochus Snail, like all inverts is intolerant to any copper based medications
