Neon Red Dwarf Gourami

Colisa lalia

The Neon Red Dwarf Gourami, is a colour variation of the Dwarf Gourami.

They breathe from the surface, known as Labyrinth Fish will there for need access to the surface of the tank.

They require a heavily planted tank that is of a least 50 litres with some of the surface covered with floating plants. Darker tanks will show off the Gourami colours more effectively. Tanks should be kept in a relatively quiet area with little noise, with regular water changes and good filtration. Gourami should not be kept with large, aggressive fish, but are compatible with other small peaceful fish as well as fellow Gourami.

Gourami are omnivore and will eat both algae and meaty based foods. An algae-based flake food, along with freeze-dried bloodworms, tubifex, and brine shrimp will provide these fish with the proper nutrition.
