Clarkii Clownfish
Amphiprion Clarkii
The Clarkii Clownfish is one of the more common and resilient of the clownfish making it popular to beginners and experienced aquarists. Best kept individually or in a mated pair as clownfish are aggressive towards each other, a group could be considered in an aquarium of above 800 litres when introduced simultaneously.
The Clarkii Clownfish requires a tank of 120 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. The Clarkii is reef safe and will not eat any corals or shrimps, they have been known to host in corals and may cause some harm to the polyps from resting on them. The Clarkii will host in almost any type of anemone. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but should be supplemented with meaty foods like brine shrimp and crustacean flesh.
