Keyhole Angelfish

Centropyge Tibicin

The Keyhole Angelfish is one of the largest of the dwarf angel fish growing to a size of 20 cm. Best kept individually, since it can be territorial with its own kind, and similar species.

It requires a tank of 200 litres or larger with plenty of hiding places. When kept in a larger environment the fish will be more placid. Most dwarf angels are algal grazers, but also eat small non-sessile invertebrates, like brine shrimp and mysis. They usually adapt well to frozen and even dried foods, but benefit from the addition of some vegetable material like Nori.

A good idea when introducing new fish to the aquarium is to use live food to help the fish acclimatise
