The Brittle Star is an interesting and different starfish. Only one should be housed per aquarium due to their feeding habits.
It requires a tank of 400 litres or larger with plenty of unobstructed rockwork to feed off. This star a good scavenger and will eat detritus and other small organisms. Stars are sensitive to aquarium conditions, and won't tolerate big fluctuations in sg, pH and O2. Due to this weakness they should be drip acclimatized over an hour
