Saron Shrimp

Saron marmoratus

The Saron Shrimp is an interesting shrimp whose colours change during day and night. Multiple specimens can be housed together in large aquariums but they do better on their own due to their adult size.

It requires a tank of 200 litres or larger with plenty of rockwork to hide in as the shrimp is nocturnal. The Saron shrimp isn't reef compatible and it will eat small zoa's, polyps, and other small corals. The Saron shrimp will become a good scavenger when corals aren't present and will accept most marine preparations.

The Saron shrimp, like all inverts is intolerant to any copper based medications
