The Fish will be despatched via overnight courier to arrive with you the following day.How are the fish transported?We send out tropical fish in individual oxygenated bags inside a polystyrene box inside a cardboard box. The box can withstand a 10 meter drop without damaging the contents, so the fish are very safe.Why are the prices cheaper than garden centres and other shops?The prices are cheaper than shops as we import the fish directly, so we cut out the middle man, and are able to pass those savings on to our customers.What happens if my fish die?If your aquatic life does not survive for 5 days despite proper acclimatization in a healthy, established aquarium, we will either send replacements or refund your money. Email us a photo and details at the time and we will arrange this.Order Cut-off TimeOrders placed before 14:00 can be dispatched for arrival the following day.Is there a Minimum Order?There is a minimum order level of £25 for all orders.Will my fish arrive safely and in good health?To ensure you receive the healthiest specimens available and to reduce the travel stress on your aquatic life, your order will be shipped direct from our packing facilities direct to your door We pack our fish in plastic bags, filled with water and oxygen and then sealed. The fish are placed inside a Styrofoam box to minimize temperature fluctuations and a heat pack is added when required. This packaging enables the fish to be transported safely and acclimatised to your tank water easily.
We then dispatch your fish with our courier company for overnight delivery to you. All orders are shipped via APC. You must sign for your aquatic life on the first attempt at delivery to qualify for our 5-day guarantee. All live species orders will include a printed version of our detailed Acclimation Guide. Please follow the steps outlined in this guide carefully to ensure the good health of your new arrivals.ReturnsThe shipping container you receive will include a packing slip which contains the size and quantity of aquatic life that has been billed to your account. If this packing slip differs from what was received, please notify us by phone at (0845 004 2896) or e-mail (sales@aquaticlifedirect.co.uk). This is not an invoice and does not contain pricing and billing info. Because of the complex packaging procedures for all aquatic life and our primary concern for the health and well-being of all specimens we offer, we cannot accept any returns of any aquatic life.
